The Foundation of Our Work
At Dive Counseling and Wellness, our work centers on restoring trust—in oneself, in the body, and in the process of growth. Through both therapeutic and aquatic experiences, we help individuals move from fear to strength, and from uncertainty to resilience. Our approach is guided by three foundational principles:
Safety: Prioritizing both emotional and physical security as the ground for all meaningful change.
Self-Awareness: Creating space to explore, take risks, and develop with confidence.
Resilience: Cultivating strength and adaptability that endures—internally and externally.

Developmental Range and Inclusive Experience
Water Wellness services at Dive Counseling and Wellness are thoughtfully designed for individuals across the lifespan—beginning at age 3 through adulthood. Each session is developmentally tailored to meet the unique emotional, cognitive, and sensory needs of the individual, whether they are just beginning their relationship with water or returning after past distress.
With over a decade of experience as a swim instructor and specialized training in mental health, I offer a dual perspective that honors both the physical and emotional dimensions of growth. My work has included supporting clients with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and visual impairments.
Every session is guided by compassion, creativity, and attentiveness—ensuring that each person is met with dignity, safety, and the opportunity to thrive, both in and around the water.
Who can benefit from Water Wellness?

• Individuals with past trauma or overstimulation tied to aquatic experiences
• Clients navigating neurodivergence (e.g., autism, ADHD)

What to Expect?
Water Wellness sessions are offered in two formats—30 minutes or 60 minutes—and take place in the comfort of your home pool or at a quiet community facility (pending permission and suitability).
Each session is tailored to meet the emotional and physical needs of the individual, blending therapeutic presence with skillful swim instruction. Our approach prioritizes safety, trust and empowerment—whether you’re working through fear, building foundational skills, or integrating emotional regulation techniques.
Clients should come in appropriate swimwear; goggles are encouraged but not required. Sessions may include gentle therapeutic framing such as breath work, somatic awareness, and personalized check-ins—designed to support confidence, calm, and growth in and around the water.
Whether you’re seeking to overcome fear, build confidence, or integrate therapeutic movement into your healing journey, Aquatic Wellness offers a guided experience that honors needs, pace, and goals.

Aquatic Supervision for Private Events
Ensure peace of mind at your next gathering with professional on-site water safety support. With over a decade of experience in swim instruction and aquatic environments, I provide attentive supervision tailored for private settings. Ideal for pool parties, celebrations, or family events where water is present. Rates are determined by the number of swimmers:
1-12 swimmers: $100/hour
13-19 swimmers: $150/hour
20 or more swimmers: $200/hour
Note: For groups of 20 or more, a second aquatic supervisor is required if available to maintain optimal safety standards.
Please reach out in advance to confirm availability and discuss the specific needs of your event.
Travel is included for clients located within a 15-mile radius of Stephanie’s home base. Sessions may be held at approved community pools, provided that the client has confirmed guest access for instructor entry. Please note: community pool sessions are not available on major holidays due to anticipated crowding and reduced session privacy.
Commonly approved locations: Energy Corridor, Memorial, Spring Branch West, Bunker Hill Village, Bellaire, Meadows Place, Sugar Land, Aliana, & Cinco Ranch. To ensure availability, please reach out to confirm your location is approved. Scheduling is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited openings each season.
*For children under the age of three, “Mommy & Me” style sessions may be available depending on scheduling and availability. These gentle, introductory sessions are designed to assess a child’s readiness and support parents in confidently introducing their little one to water. Typically, families can expect one to three sessions focused on early exposure, trust-building, and creating a positive foundation for future aquatic learning. While water familiarity is valuable at every stage, steady progress in skill development is more commonly observed after a child turns two. Individual or Semi-Private rates apply.
