Counseling & Companion Support for Older Adults

Caring presence and therapeutic support for your loved one - peace of mind for your family.

Serving Houston and surrounding areas (within 20 miles) | In-home or care facility sessions.

Why This Service Matters

Caring for an aging parent is both meaningful and challenging. Many adult children balance demanding careers, households, and parenting, making it difficult to provide the consistent emotional support their loved ones need. Older adults may struggle with loneliness, anxiety, grief, or fear of aging, often repeating the same worries when family members feel too depleted to listen.

This service offers a professional, compassionate presence for your parent, while giving you peace of mind that their emotional and mental health needs are being addressed by a licensed professional counselor associate.

What I offer

  • Private pay counseling and companionship with an LPC associate.

  • 2 hour in person sessions at your parent’s home or care facility.

  • Support for depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship stress, and end-of-life concerns.

  • Engaging activities during sessions including conversation, card or board games, music, movies, or nature walks (doctor approval and location adjacent to living situation required).

  • Optional Water Wellness Therapy (a unique integration of swimming and counseling, client must provide pool and medical clearance).

Benefits for Families

  • For your loved one: trusted, ongoing emotional support, meaningful engagement, and a safe space to process fears and life transistions.

  • For you: peace of mind knowing a licensed, trauma-informed counselor is providing reliable support, easing the burden of being the “only” listener, and keeping you connected to valuable resources.

Investment

  • $350 per 2 hour session (within a 20 mile radius)

  • Package option: 4 sessions for $1,260 (10% savings, to be used within 6 weeks. Recommended after a few sessions to ensure a good fit and a desire for multiple weeks of commitment.)

  • Water wellness sessions: $400 per 2 hour session (doctor’s approval and access to a pool required; not included in packages)

Next Steps:

The first step is scheduling a complimentary consultation call. This gives us the chance to talk through your parent’s needs, answer questions, and ensure the service is the right fit. If you are booking for a parent, you must hold power of attorney and/or medical decision-making authority. Otherwise, the elder client must call directly and/or be able to consent to services.

Our parents matter deeply. They spent years guiding, supporting, and caring for us. Giving back to them in this stage of life is one of the most meaningful acts of love. Providing professional support is not only an empowering gift for your parent, it also offers you peace of mind, knowing their emotional well-being is cared for with dignity and compassion.

Your peace matters as much as theirs.
